    It's time for a new career and there is no better place than Florida Urology Partners. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. Our benefits are very competitive and we recently have a new provider services and managed services agreement with Tampa General Hospital. We are growing and need someone who is ready to be challenged and grow with us.

    Job Summary:

    Clinical duties: Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
    • Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart (EPIC)
    • Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
    • Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available inpatients' medical records prior to their appointment
    • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
    • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
    • Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
    • Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
    • All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator
    Please note that reliable transportation is needed as this position will rotate each day between our three offices of Hudson, Spring Hill and Brooksville as needed.

    Requirements

    We seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely matter with patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. We are looking for a team player that can help out with a smile on their face. Urology experience desired but not required. Must have excellent knowledge of medical terminology. ECW experience is a huge plus
