    Description

    LHH Recruitment Solutions has collaborated with a developing organization seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Vendor Assurance Analyst to join their Streamwood, IL team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of food ingredient suppliers. The ideal candidate brings a background in vendor management within the food manufacturing industry and a strong emphasis on quality assurance.     Key Responsibilities:

    Quality Control:

    • Perform hands-on testing of new products, materials, and packaging samples to evaluate quality.
    • Analyze data from testing procedures.
    • Create detailed reports on testing outcomes and quality measurements.

    Vendor Assurance and Improvement:

    • Create and execute structured vendor assurance processes to boost quality control.
    • Cultivate positive relationships with ingredient suppliers, with a focus on two key vendors in the USA.
    • Collaborate with European vendors as required.
    • Aid in acquiring top products and services from vendors to meet quality benchmarks.

    Vendor Management and Coordination:

    • Supervise all aspects of vendor management across the business relationship.
    • Manage pre-screening and qualification procedures for vendors.
    • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with vendors.
    • Initiate onboarding and account setup processes.
    • Introduce vendors to direct account representatives and manage contract and invoice processing.
    • Resolve conflicts to uphold positive vendor connections.

    High-Level Vendor Management Strategy:

    • Direct and implement high-level vendor management strategies and policies.
    • Consistently assess and enhance vendor management processes to optimize business connections.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Preferably holds a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
    • Brings 3+ years of vendor management experience in the food manufacturing sector.
    • Possesses a strong grasp of quality control procedures and standards.
    • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Capable of periodic travel for vendor visits and audits.
