Overview/ Job Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support the meshONE-T program. This position is available at either the Denver, CO or Colorado Springs, CO Sev1Tech office.
Plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer networks, services, policies and procedures across local area networks, wide area networks, and intranets, providing analytical, technical, and administrative supportTroubleshoots network issues-installs and upgrades network equipment and softwareCreates and maintains documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service recordsEstablishes and documents network technical support processes and proceduresPractices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specificationsMonitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reportsCommunicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity, network, operations, and Program Management teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems componentsSupport of all updates to all documents when there is change in the transport design and/or technologies and collaborating with all stakeholders to test all related systems and processes to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or securityProvide design and architecture recommendations to enhance and improve network performanceSalary: 115k

Minimum Qualifications

At least 5-8 years of network engineering experience of network experience: functions and concepts of a wide area network, OSI network layers, designing LAN/WAN's and network architecture and designExperience with routing/switching configuration and troubleshooting to the CCNP levelIP experience (to include sub-netting and routing), IPV4/IPV6Current Security + certificationSome travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder)Less than 10% travel out of stateNon-supervisory position


SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Current active Secret clearance and eligible for a TS/SCI

Desired Qualifications

Experience with NetBrain, Network Services Orchestrator, Solarwinds, Infoblox, and ITSMKnowledge of/experience with space mission systemsFamiliarity with VM, Linux, and/or Windows environmentsExperience working in Department of Defense or with Department of Defense or Federal contracts
