- Maintain, monitor, optimize, secure and document Databases (on-prem and cloud based)
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures
- Optimizes queries, views, and triggers for integration with other applications
- Review and interpret ongoing business requirements
- Develop stored procedures and scripts for data migration.
- Design and develop integrations among applications
- Writes instructions for testing and implementing new applications in the database environment
- Analyze current and future database projects for performance requirements, fine-tuning, and recommended enhancements when necessary. This includes but is not limited to upgrades and database maintenance
- Collaborate with the developers in designing, developing, and adding features to programs
- Troubleshoot production issues according to service level targets
- Provide great customer service
- Use standard application development best practices
- Maintain knowledge of database technology through training courses, seminars, and publications
- Design always on architecture for all Database systems
- Owns high availability of critical databases and backup
- Resolves DB problems when they arise
