    Audio-Visual Project Leader

    Position Summary:

    As an Audio-Visual Project Leader, you will be instrumental in managing and executing small to medium-scale audio-visual construction projects with minimal supervision. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, directing management efforts, ensuring projects meet completion timelines, achieving customer satisfaction, and delivering positive financial outcomes.

    What You Will Do:

    • Collaborate on procurement efforts and engage in business development activities to identify new project opportunities.
    • Lead the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to safety, budget constraints, high-quality standards, and timely delivery.
    • Take ownership of project results and work closely with stakeholders to define scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines.
    • Set clear expectations with team members and stakeholders, acting as a liaison between them.
    • Proactively address issues and problems throughout the project life cycle.
    • Manage project scope by documenting and obtaining approvals for changes via change order forms.
    • Coordinate project material and equipment orders.
    • Follow the PRIME Safety Program, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and practices.
    • Maintain a physical presence on-site and regularly visit job sites to monitor progress and support the project team as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may evolve or new ones may be added at any time.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, with 5+ years of project management experience in the Audio-Visual, Construction, or Technology industries, or relevant education and experience.
    • Strong understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating principles, and accounting practices.
    • Proficiency in estimating, including preparing job change orders and evaluating estimates.
    • Experience with integrated job cost systems, budgeting, and final costing evaluations.
    • Ability to develop critical path schedules and understand construction sequencing.
    • Skill in engaging in the construction process and assessing final costs regularly.
    • Ability to identify project impacts and negotiate effectively with customers regarding change orders.
    • Proven leadership in managing teams and fostering collaboration.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Capacity to adapt to changing environments and priorities swiftly.
    • Positive attitude and ability to maintain a supportive work environment.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per year

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • May supervise or coordinate work for others involved in specific assignments.
    • May directly oversee project staff.

    Special Requirements/Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

    • Work is primarily performed in an office setting with moderate noise levels and temperatures. Minimal lifting or climbing is required. This is an in-person position, with some travel to other offices, work sites, and local business errands.
    • In the field: Work occurs mainly outdoors with exposure to potential hazards such as electrical risks, hazardous terrain, inclement weather, traffic, and loud sounds. Occasional lifting and climbing required (up to 30 lbs). Frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and steel-toed boots is mandatory.
