    POSTION SUMMARY:

    The Wellness Concierge position is responsible for safely delivering wellness services to our residents that promote overall feelings of well-being through multiple venues. These can include but may not be limited to hair and nail service, hydrospa therapy experience, hand and foot massage, physical exercise sessions, the Highgate aromatherapy program and massage chair bookings. 1-RESIDENTS
    The WC promotes and executes wellness services that support our residents to enjoy a variety of spa services, all designed to support the Highgate platform of purposeful living through our unique holistic approach. Allowing residents the space and time to feel nurtured and well cared for will help ensure quality of life for them. The WC will encourage and promote our specific programs offered, will assist residents with scheduling service, transportation to and from services and will provide scheduled services to the residents. On some occasions the WC will provide in room services, as needed by the specific resident need. While providing services to the resident, the WC will be mindful to ensure good customer service and adherence with proper protocols. The WC will be the process owner for the Highgate Aromatherapy program, including the inventory management, ensuring the diffusers are filled and running properly daily, training for the team on how to use the different lotions and sprays and managing the budget for the program. 2-TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Wellness Concierge will report to work timely for each shift they are scheduled for, dressed in the appropriate uniform with all designated work equipment. The HC will attend all required training necessary for the position and will obtain all required certifications within the stated guidelines. The WC will be responsible to communicate with the care teams regarding resident scheduling and assist the team members with resident transportation to and from service appointments. The WC will work with the Community Resource Manager to ensure billing for all services provided is timely and accurate. As needed, coordinates outside provider service for specific spa treatments. 3-COMMUNICATION
    As an observer of the Resident, it is the responsibility of the WC to pay attention to Resident changes in condition (physical, emotional, and cognitive). The WC will communicate all significant information with the LEC, RCC (MC or CC), and/or HD by using the FYI forms. Occasionally the WC will be asked to communicate with a family, mostly to report how the Resident enjoyed or responded to his/her service. Serve as the primary contact for all outside providers that may be utilized for specified treatments, to ensure Highgate standards are upheld during services. ESSENTIAL JOB
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    1- Arrive and remain at work during the times designated by the Executive Director and work schedule. 2- Check in with the care team regarding care issues so you can adjust the service schedule as needed during the day 3- Review daily schedule of services and make preparations in advance of the scheduled appointments. 4- Clean and sanitize the various spa areas used before and after individual services, ensuring the proper sanitizing procedures and supplies are used for each individual area and apparatus. 5- Respond to resident and family member requests and any building emergencies. 6- Touch base and verbally review potential areas of concern with the Community Resources Manager or other appropriate Dept Head prior to leaving for the day. 7- Record daily billing for the services provided daily. 8- Is responsible for ordering inventory and supplies needed to keep the spa areas stocked appropriately. 9- Monthly reconciliation of spa related expenses versus the budget 10- Attend monthly Team meetings and other required trainings 11- Upon being trained, utilize PAC and PPA techniques when working with residents QUALIFICATIONS
    1- Has a current, valid cosmetology license, maintains credentials 2- Knowledge of standard spa practices and procedures to maintain a safe environment 3- Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification 4- Desire to serve seniors, patience, and flexibility are a must 5- Ability and desire to learn dementia care standard practices 6- Negative Criminal record/background statement 7- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to problem solve and respond to concerns 8- Compliance with Personnel Policies and Procedures Handbook 9- Must meet all criteria as required by state and local licensing agencies
