    As a Payor Relations Specialist you'll be responsible for the preparation, review, and administration of payor contracts.
    What You'll Be Doing
    • Conduct contract negotiations when appropriate, manage the development of contract documents, and facilitate implementation of contract terms and conditions, all with the purpose of improving operational and financial performance.
    • Research and accurately understand applicable coverage policies, laws, and statutes.
    • Identify potential payor opportunities and/or obstacles. Research, analyze, and interpret findings and make recommendations about how to proceed.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract-related agreements, files, and data in corporate systems; paper and electronic.
    • Monitor payor websites, updates, newsletters and other identified sources for coverage and policy updates that could affect RS Medical products and contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with the VA award(s), when establishing new and modifying existing contracts.
    • Update and verify data on contracting websites, including those related to the Veterans Administration award(s).
    • Review correspondence related to Payors / Contracts.
    • Keep supervisor informed of any known or potential contract-related issues with sales representatives, payors, and patients.
    • Attend key meetings, as required.
    • Understand, maintain, and adhere to applicable corporate processes, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Practice and display all RS Medical core values and competencies.
    • Support all current corporate objectives and initiatives related to their specific area of responsibility.

    RequirementsExperience / Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of medical contracting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation and training experience.
    • High degree of integrity and discretion.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and an acute attention to detail, including the proven ability to manage multiple projects over time.
    • Self-motivated, dependable, flexible and a problem solver.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Excellent math and reading comprehension skills.
    • Advanced Excel skill, including understanding of relative calculations, data analysis/manipulation using lookups and pivot tables.
    • Demonstrated knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint at an intermediate or higher level.

    Physical RequirementsGeneral office environment that will include frequent or continuous periods of talking, sitting, fingering, repetitive motions of the hands/wrists, reaching, grasping, and handling.

    This position also requires occasional bending, squatting, standing, and walking. Pushing, pulling lifting, and carrying of up to 10 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. Good general vision and hearing are needed. Travel, as needed.#J-18808-Ljbffr
