    NASCAR International seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Director, International Project Planning and Strategy based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

    The Senior Director, International Project Planning and Strategy will oversee international expansion project planning and strategy, guiding NASCAR's global initiatives and driving NASCAR's growth on a global scale.

    Oversee strategic planning and execution of international projects, ensuring alignment with NASCAR's global expansion and brand objectives.
    Establish and articulate a clear strategic vision for international projects, ensuring alignment with NASCAR's long-term goals. Guide the company through strategic decisions and provide leadership that ensures projects support overarching business objectives.
    Develop and manage project plans, lead teams, and coordinate cross-regional efforts to deliver projects successfully.
    Implement and refine a comprehensive project management system to track progress and streamline communication among stakeholders.
    Develop a framework for reporting project progress using analytics to drive data-driven decisions. Ensure transparency and timely communication of project status to all stakeholders.
    Guide project initiation, including the establishment of mission-aligned goals, opportunities, and vision with external partners.
    Conduct thorough project scope planning, feasibility analysis, and manage resource allocation to ensure project success.
    Proactively manage risks by developing robust contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
    Close projects effectively, ensuring lessons learned are documented and integrated into future initiatives.
    Oversee project budgets with a keen eye for maximizing value and ensuring a strong return on investment. Conduct financial modeling and ROI analysis to support project justification and funding.
    Lead departmental business planning, budgeting, and forecast monitoring to align with strategic objectives.

    Champion innovation across international projects, fostering an environment that embraces change and continuously seeks improvement in processes and outcomes.

    Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development within the project management team. Mentor junior staff and oversee the development of training programs to enhance team competencies.
    Serve as a NASCAR brand ambassador, embodying the organization's values and driving continuous improvement in team performance
    Approximate travel 25%.

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Sports Management, Computer Science, or related field from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

    A minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior project management role, with a proven track record of strategic project leadership.

    Multilingual capabilities are preferred.
    Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, particularly Microsoft Project and Platforms. Familiarity with Workday SaaS including Adaptive
    Demonstrated experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
    Strong financial and analytical skills
    Project management certification preferred
