Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Roving Patrol Driver in Donna, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will patrol interior and exterior areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and customer concerns. You will document observations, communicate clearly with store teams and law enforcement, and deliver customer-focused service with integrity and teamwork. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and customers by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards.

Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when needed.

Control access to restricted areas such as receiving, cash handling zones, and employee-only spaces by verifying authorization and monitoring entry and exit activity.

Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.

An Armed Guard Card or license is required.

A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
