41 CFR c)Position DescriptionThe overall responsibilities of a Travel Crane Operator include:
Crane maintenance Demonstrate understanding of crane capacity and safe lifting practicesDemonstrate understanding of product dunnage and stacking practicesKnowledge and maintenance of yard location systemMay include general supervision of material handlersConduct a pre-operational check on travel crane and perform cleaning/sanitization of cab dailyCommunicate with group leader and maintenance any concerns that may arise from inspection of Mi-JackOperate travel crane in a safe manner following all safety guidelines and rulesWork in conjunction with crew leader and ground men in safely setting product on trailer or in stacks on the yard.
