    Public Health Advisor

    Cetechs, a Service-Disabled Veteran owned company is seeking a Public Health Advisor (PHA) to provide public health medical services in support of the Occupational Health Clinic on DLA Distribution, San Joaquin (DDJC).

    Clinic hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, excluding currently observed Federal Holidays. The PHA shall be accessible, within 24 hours, when Clinic requests medical advice and assistance.

    Note:
    DDJC Occupational Health Clinic is not a primary care facility.

    The clinic's primary function is to provide occupational health services such as job related physical, pre-employment physicals, fit for duty evaluation, immunizations in accordance with DOD/DLA Regulation/Instructions, OPM Classification and Qualification Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, as well as first aid work-related medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses.


    Program Health Advisor Support:


    PHA responsibilities shall include, but are not limited, to: ascertaining the existence of cases suggesting a public health emergency, investigating all such cases for sources of infection, recommending implementation of proper control measures, and defining the distribution of the illness or health condition.

    Requirements
    Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (OD) degree or a certified Nurse Practitioner
    California State Medical License
    Basic Life Support (BLS).
    The PHA shall be conversant in the following:

    Investigating circumstances suggesting a public health

    emergency
    Identifying all individuals thought to have been exposed to an illness or health

    condition.

    Counseling and interviewing such individuals, as appropriate, to assist in positively identifying exposed individuals and developing information relating to the source and spread of the illness or health condition.

    Examining facilities or materials that may endanger the public health.

    If necessary for examination purposes, closing, evacuating, or decontaminating any facility or decontaminating or destroying any material contributing to the public health emergency.

    Sharing information developed during activities, including personally identifiable health information, with Federal, State, or local officials responsible for public health and public safety to the extent necessary to protect the public health and safety.

    Notifying, directly or through applicable military channels, appropriate law enforcement authorities concerning information indicating a possible terrorist incident or other crime.

    This position requires the successful completion of a Federal Government Background Check. Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
