    Job DescriptionRole

    As a Department Supervisor (also known as Operations Supervisor, Shift Supervisor), you'll oversee daily operations, manage employee scheduling, and ensure production schedules are met. You'll work closely with Leadmen, assist with employee selection, training, and development, and address performance, safety, and health issues. You'll also have responsibilities for coordinating maintenance and repair of equipment, purchasing necessary supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and safety within the department.

    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in the CNC Machining Industry and five (5) years supervisory experience in associated manufacturing.
    • Strong supervisory skills, including training, counseling, and disciplinary.
    • Good math and measurement skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in GD&T, G-Code, M-Code, Machine Setups for Production Runs, Manual Machining Skills, Leadership / People Management, CAD/CAM Software, and Troubleshooting CNC Machines.
    • Ability to operate and troubleshoot CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC), CNC Lathe (2-4 axis), CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC), CNC Lathe (5+ axis), and Universal Machining Center (5 axis UMC).
    • Physical ability to climb stairs and/or ladders, stand and walk for extended periods, wear PPE, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and work extended hours as needed.
