- Provide supportive case management services to clients utilizing a client-centered approach
- Work with program clients to ensure that they are meeting all requirements of the program and have all needs addressed for reaching self-sufficiency
- Complete orientation with program participants and create files
- Maintain up to date and organized file to request and process financial benefits for clients
- Support clients to overcome barriers to gaining employment such as: understand how to navigate public transportation options, connecting to childcare, ESOL, etc.
- Deliver intensive case management services including benefits application, school enrollment, and other needs for clients not enrolled in resettlement programs.
- Provide internal and external referrals to services for clients
- Assist with job referral process as needed, including: job application assistance, transporting participants to job interviews and drug screenings, assist new hires with paperwork, and other employment preparation activities
- Prepare clients for employment success by creating self-sufficiency plans, addressing questions, etc.
- Provide detailed daily case notes and documentation in client databases
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and online database
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines; possess flexibility, professionalism, and empathy in times of stress
- Strong organizational skills and experience with self‐directed workload
- Ability to prioritize, effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of organization's information.
- Ability to work productively in a multicultural environment and demonstrate respect for differences.
- Linguistic ability in one of the following languages: Arabic, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, French, Dari, Pashto, Somali, Ukrainian or Russian preferred
- Must have a car and valid driver's license with proof of insurance
- Associate's degree in a related field and/or relevant work experiences
