- Perform CT - Computed Tomography Procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques.
- Verify written order matches requisition prior to performing exam.
- Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered.
- Administer contrast material using proper technique.
- Manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently.
- Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.
- Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all times.
- Associates Degree
- Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA
- Preferred: At minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Texas Department of State Health Services – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)
- Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR)
- Post- primary CT certification within 6 months of CT assignment.
- Preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT (CT))
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
