    Relocating HQ Mid-2024: Newport Beach, Ca

    Travel: Up to 10% of domestic travel

    Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually

    Scope of the Role

    The Sr. Channel Category Manager will take ownership in creating strategies for pricing the catalog across all sales channels including Amazon, Target, and Walmart by monitoring competitive sellers, products and identifying market trends. This position will be approving inventory levels across multiple fulfillment channels, managing category managers and support staff within the given vertical, and is a pivotal role in continuing to build processes and procedures within the team to provide growth and scalability. The Sr. Channel Category Manager will work directly with counterparts at retail partners and will help steer channel sales and influence account-level strategy for each partner site.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Learn and own an assigned category or categories within the BCP catalog.
    • Create and maintain a business plan for each set of unique skus detailing out target market share and sales ranking hoping to acquire / maintain within relevant markets.
    • Provide and maintain a rolling 12–15-month sales and inventory forecasts within assigned product verticals based on current and expected sales performance, competitor listings, and market trends.
    • Monitor key indicators of the listings' health and search ranking on assigned portion across multiple selling channels.
    • Monitor sales channels, key competitive listings, and key promotional marketing events to identify maximize opportunities for revenue growth.
    • Authorize and execute planned catalog pricing, including promotional pricing and price drops dictated by market and product lifecycle.
    • Participate in discussions influencing product content creation based on market and competitive research.
    • Monitor product listings and search rankings to optimize conversion opportunities.
    • Deliver product-oriented sales pitches to drive or influence merchandising placements across network of selling partners.
    • Sets advertising strategy for Department, maintaining proper sales, ROAS and ACOS levels executed in collaboration with marketing team.
    • Analyze performance of advertising campaigns in relation to GMV performance, ACOS and ROAS.
    • Build, maintain and evolve strong relationships with our marketplace partners where available to drive merchandising and promotional placements.
    • Provide direction and act as final decision maker on product content creation based on market & competitive research to be delivered to creative team.
    • Act as approver of procurement purchases made in support of provided forecasts.
    • Authorize inventory allocation decisions across selling channels including channel exclusives and Big Bet purchases.
    • Offer merchandising instruction to represent assigned category for DTC consideration.
    • Generate keyword reporting for catalog listings, new & existing utilizing tools for relevant search terms.
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What You Need For Success

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • 5-7 years' work experience in eCommerce preferably in-house at a brand/consumer product company or with an agency servicing similar companies.
    • Knowledge of online marketplace retail operations, best practices, and guidelines (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.)
    • Have worked as a lead or manager capacity, supervising sales or marketing individuals.
    • Experience with forecasting at a product level and managing margin.
    • Experienced with selling on Amazon through FBA and seller fulfilled models.
    • Experienced in external sales communication and account management.
    • Experienced with third party ecommerce business operation software tools (Jungle Scout, Helium, Google Analytics, Stackline, Brand Analytics)
    • Knowledgeable in key indicators of listing health including sales ranking, category ranking and search results.
    • Motivated, persistent self-starter who is results-driven and analytical.
    • Passionate about competing in constant evolving situations and customer obsessed.
    • Experienced working remotely or within a team of remote individuals.
    • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
