    We need a strong PE for our tenant improvement project in Pasadena. The PE will be assigned to the job site in Pasadena. The applicant must have 2 years of experience working as a Project Engineer for a General Contractor in commercial construction AND the ability to read and interpret a full set of construction plans and specs.

    The Project Engineer's duties include but are not limited to:

    Pre-Construction:

    • Review plans & specs and prepare for the project.
    • Assist the PM with Permitting and Licensing.
    • Process RFI's and Submittals.
    • Mobilization: job site & construction office set-up.

    Construction

    • Assist the Superintendent and Project Managers for a successful project.
    • Send out Subcontractor Agreements with Required Docs and follow up until received.
    • Request and review RFIs and Submittals.
    • Request Shop Drawings, as applicable.
    • Verify subcontractor has all their Required Docs in before their start date.
    • Assist with the "Three Week Look Ahead" schedule.
    • Request pricing for change orders.
    • Purchase materials.
    • Update Procore daily.
    • Assist the PM with Daily Logs.
    • Assist the PM in obtaining the completion of the subcontractor's Punch List items.
    • Request Close-Out Docs and create a Close-Out Package.
    • Collect all final signed-off Permits as applicable.
    • Demobilization.

    Education/Experience & Requirements:

    • High School Diploma
    • CM degree - Highly Desirable.
    • 2 years experience working as a Project Engineer for a General Contractor in commercial construction - Required.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications - Required.
    • Valid California driver's license with no more than 2 points & valid automobile insurance if driving for the Company - Required.
    • Cal-OSHA 10-hour certificate - Required.
    • Proficient in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Outlook - Required.
    • Making decisions and solving problems.
    • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.
    • Evaluating information to determine compliance with standards.
    • Documenting and recording information.
    • Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to identify problems or improvements.
    • Team player who can collaborate with others to achieve a common goal.
