- Provides support in analyzing and evaluating new business opportunities and contract renewals, including financial modeling, deal analysis, and preparation of materials for review with senior leadership
- Owns partnership with commercial teams to develop financial estimates in support of forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans (own this process)
- Management of the quarterly business assessment addressing retail and market trends, financial performance, emerging risks & opportunities, and other business insights necessary to drive effective management of the P&L.
- Provides business leaders with financial data and insights to drive decision-making and enhanced understanding of the drivers of profitability and revenue growth
- Works closely with other functional areas to (e.g. Global Operations COE, Global Business Services, Legal) to streamline processes and troubleshoot issues impacting financial reporting and planning.
- Participates in divisional and company-wide professional development efforts and supports development of more junior staff across the WBD organization.
- Other duties as assigned
- 5-10 years in FP&A, corporate development, strategic planning, or management consulting
- Previous experience with media, entertainment, or consumer products industries preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar field required
- MBA/CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint required
- Superior communication and presentation skills; must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels
- Understanding of GAAP and familiarity with ASC 606
- High level of intellectual curiosity that sparks communication, collaboration, and innovation; must have a willingness to look beyond surface requirements.
- Ability to adapt and be agile amongst a changing environment and to translate complex problems into solutions
- Willingness to collaborate with management and peers to advance team and company goals
- High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to flourish under pressure
- Detail-oriented, but also able to summarize complex ideas succinctly and develop compelling narratives
