    Pay Rate: $25/hour
    Job Type: Full-time, Contract

    Job Overview

    A-Line Staffing is seeking Instrument Test Technicians to support production assembly, system analysis, and functional testing of moderately complex instruments. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing instrument performance while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in identifying issues, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process for instruments within the production area
    • Perform functional and release testing on at least one moderately complex instrument
    • Analyze test data and results to determine pass/fail outcomes and recommend corrective actions
    • Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues in non-functioning test equipment
    • Optimize system performance, including precision of movement and light systems, using test data
    • Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
    • Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
    • Provide training and guidance to other associates on testing and mechanical activities
    • Process and disposition quality notifications (QNs) as required
    • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams as needed
    • Perform standard material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following housekeeping standards
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality procedures, and safety policies
    • Manage multiple production orders and adapt to changing priorities
    • Work overtime as required to meet business needs
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or GED with 3.5 years of manufacturing experience , OR
    • Associate's degree (AA) in a technical field with relevant skills

    Technical & Professional Skills

    • Experience supporting testing of moderately complex instruments
    • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
    • Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and measure dimensions accurately
    • Strong math, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
    • Basic proficiency using PCs and Windows-based systems
    • Ability to independently plan work, make decisions, and solve problems
