We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to do preventative machine maintenance for our Ayer, MA, a well known bottling company. The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for minimizing equipment and machinery downtime through routine and necessary maintenance. Responsibilities include secondary electrical repairs, HVAC, construction repair, painting, and general building maintenance. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery and equipment to maintain efficiency, as well as assembling and installing new equipment.

Schedule: 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery and equipment, including cleaning and lubricating.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to maintain production line efficiency.
• Operate machine tools to fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding maintenance supply needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in all work areas.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to navigate the facility, and perform tasks that may involve climbing, stooping, or kneeling.
• Work in environments that may be cold, hot, wet, or humid.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Electrical/Mechanical trade school certification desired.
