- Responsible for coordinating andmonitoring day-to-day operations of the utilization management program for theoutpatient clinic.
- Directs the activities necessary toensure appropriate utilization of the clinic and its resources whilemaintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care.
- Responsible for analyzing records todetermine legitimacy of patient continued stay by performing concurrentreviews.
- Participates in treatment team meetingsto report said legitimacy to physicians and team members.
- Threeto five years of management experience is preferred.
- Twoyears' experience in psychiatric setting is preferred.
- Requiresgood computer skills.
- Mustbe able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
- Currentstate Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license is required.
- BLScertification is required upon hire.
- ACLSand PALS certifications are required within 6 months of hire.
- De-escalationtraining is required within 30 days of hire.
