    We are Piedmont Rockdale Hospital atrusted source of comprehensive, high-quality care for residents ofConyers and surrounding communities. Piedmont Rockdale is acornerstone of wellness as the only acute-care facility in RockdaleCounty.

    As a 161-bed facility, Piedmont Rockdale offers 24-houremergency services, a critical care intensivist program, medicaland surgical services, and obstetrics/womens services including aLevel III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Laboristprogram.


    The Piedmont RockdaleEmergency Department is a 34-bed unit that provides careto patients presenting with a wide range of problems, fromlife-threatening conditions to minor injuries or illnesses.

    As theonly hospital located within Rockdale County, the Piedmont RockdaleHospital Emergency Department serves 55,000 patients each year andis committed to providing high quality and compassionate care closeto home.

    Qualifications:


    RESPONSIBLEFOR:

    The Paramedic , under the supervisionof the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician isresponsible for facilitating age-appropriate, culturally andethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment,educating patients and their families, collecting information,communicating effectively, and utilizing technology.

    The Paramedicparticipates in the assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation of the delivery of health care services and task. Therole of the Paramedic Nurse Extender also, includes patientadvocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and the oversight ofunlicensed personnel.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:


    High school graduate orequivalent.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:


    None

    MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:


    Currentcertification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required,National Registry preferred

    ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:


    BLS. Must be ACLS certified, orbe able to become certified immediately.
