- The Account Manager does not currently have a formal supervisory roleQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four
- year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the trailer industry a definite advantage.
- Capable of using Star's selling model and respond to coaching on our approach.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain insurability through Star's insurance carrier
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, Word, Outlook.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- This position requires frequent overnight travel; all prospective employees must pass a background check, drug screen, have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and listen; sit and use hands, and fingers; stand, walk, and occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Account Managers work within the boundaries of established policies and procedures to enable the company to meet its goals.Working with Star's branch and corporate team, "we will do what we say we will do when we say that we will do it."Every Account Manager is responsible for maximizing opportunities with existing assigned accounts as well as prospecting for new business within their appointed territory.
