    Power Electronics Engineer Job Summary

    We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. You will design and/or control Low, Middle, and High Voltage Power Electronics converters; that deliver high performance in an environment with condensation risks, with high vibrations, Shock proved, and Arc flash proved; for Industry, Oil and Gas, Marine, or Military applications.

    Power Electronics Engineer Responsibilities

    • Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters etc.) of the overall electrical power plant.
    • Write all project artifacts including Hardware and commissioning instructions.
    • Simulate and design an overall Power Electronics system for Industrial applications such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generation applications.
    • Design a new Voltage Source Inverter (IGBT or Sic) and new Thyristor converter (Rectifier LCI)

    Power Electronics Engineer Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Solid theoretical and mathematical background; with the ability to understand new concepts and the ability to learn fast.
    • Strong knowledge of Power Electronics Converters (MMC, multilevel VSI, LCI, DC drives, or Cycloconverter), Variable Speed applications, STATCOM, or active filtering
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
