Quality Engineer

Duro-Last Roofing, located in Byram, Mississippi is looking for a Quality Engineer. This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent benefits and growth opportunity.

Position Responsibilities:

Evaluates and ensures that all manufacturing processes meet internal/external specifications and requirements
Supports all departments in Duro-Last and other JRB Companies in quality related efforts
Investigates quality incidents and documents results of testing and reporting
Uses Company's electronic databases for documentation of quality related data and employs statistical methods to measure and analyze
Develops, directs and implements quality control training for personnel
Supervises projects involving cross-functional teams
Promotes continuous improvement through Six Sigma and other applicable tools and methodologies
Assist with training plant personnel on quality programs and processes to support continuous improvement efforts
All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or related field
Minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in statistical analysis and quality improvement tools such as Control Charts, SPC, Process Capability and DOE's
Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer desired
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make data supported decisions
Technical writing, computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office products, math/statistical skills, analytical aptitude and mechanical ability are critical to this position
Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to travel, when needed, to other plant locations
