    Job Summary:


    Player 15 Group is the operating company of the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Suns G League team, and the downtown Phoenix arena.

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Phoenix Mercury Communications Intern. This position will be responsible for supporting the Phoenix Mercury communications department and assisting with day-to-day duties as assigned. This seasonal position is for the entire WNBA season, starting in May through October.


    What Will You Do:

    • Assist with the coordination of media operations for Suns home games, including credentialing, media seating charts, stats, postgame notes, and other duties as assigned
    • Assist with distribution of statistics, notes, rosters, quotes and other information
    • Assist with coordination of game-night communications staff
    • Assist in writing, editing and producing games notes
    • Compile and archive daily media clips
    • Assist with media needs including practice and gameday media availability, press conferences and events

    What We Need From Our Intern:

    • Knowledge of the WNBA, statistics and terminology
    • Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
    • Dependable and detail-oriented
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of InDesign or similar page layout program
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekdays and holidays
    • Capable of maintaining confidentiality as it relates to information the Communications department is privy to

    Experience/ Education Requirements:

    • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in Communications or similar field
    • Media Relations/PR experience preferred
    • Previous experience working in sports preferred

    • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
