    Retirement Planner


    OVERVIEW:


    At RPOA, a Retirement Planner is an Investment Advisor who specializes in helping clients who are age 55 and older.


    You will spend your day talking to clients about their financial objectives and risk tolerance and then recommend an appropriate financial planning strategy.

    We are looking for an experienced Retirement Planner who would be based in the Houston area office (St. James). A RPOA Financial Planner


    receives a generous base salary of $90,000 in addition to quarterly bonus compensation based on acquiring new clients and increasing client assets under care (AUC).

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Talking to clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan.

    Answering client questions about financial plans and strategies and giving financial advice.


    Advising strategies for clients in insurance coverage, investment planning, cash management and other areas to help them reach financial objectives.


    Reviewing client accounts and plans on a regular basis to understand if life or economic changes, situational concerns, or financial performance necessitate changes in their plan.

    Analyzing financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals.

    Contacting clients regularly to discover changes in their financial status.

    Building and maintaining a client base

    Other assigned/reassigned duties and responsibilities assigned by leadership

    Maintaining compliance with all rules and regulations in the financial advisory industry


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.

    3 + years of financial advisory sales experience.

    Financial Planning administration, or management consulting experience.

    Demonstrated track record of success as a Financial Advisor in an RIA setting.

    Strong financial system and business administration understanding.

    Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions.

    Experience providing quality financial advice.

    Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

    Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant (CRPC)

    – Required within 4 months of hire date.

    Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a culture of change.

    Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field.

    • 5 years of sales experience.
    Financial Planning administration, or management consulting experience.

    Demonstrated track record of success as a Financial Advisor in a RIA setting.

    Strong financial system and business administration understanding.

    Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions

    Experience providing quality financial advice.

    Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

    CFP(r) designation preferred

    Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a culture of change
