    Sr. GIS Apps Product Engineer - Portland, United States - Esri

    Responsibilities
    • Lead initiatives and feature teams for developing new capabilities in Android, iOS, and web apps
    • Translate product roadmap features into clear product requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Collaborate with users and clients to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements
    • Identify and address risks in product development, such as technical challenges and dependencies
    • Prioritize backlog with product leads considering roadmap, customer feedback, and dependencies
    • Keep leadership informed on product vision, strategy, and prioritization of work
    • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management
    • Provide expertise on products, features, and development processes
    • Enhance development team processes
    • Support global product launches and releases
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience with ArcGIS software or other geospatial technology
    • Experience in configuring and deploying Esris Field Apps
    • Ability to lead small to medium groups to meet business objectives and inspire teamwork
    • Customer-focused mindset for delivering exceptional product experience
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing backlogs and tasks
    • Experience in Agile project management tools
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Deadline-oriented with self-management abilities
    • Passion for delivering quality work efficiently either individually or in teams
    Recommended Qualifications
    • Ability to define, manage, and deliver geospatial solutions
    • Prior experience in implementing software solutions and commercial product releases
    • Proficiency in modern software languages like Python, JavaScript, Swift, or Kotlin
    • Certified Product Owner
    • Master's degree in GIS, computer science, or related field
