    We are seeking dynamic, passionate, creative and responsible role models for our outdoor summer camp program located in downtown Manhattan. Must have experience working with children, preferably with an interest/background in

    child development or prior camp experience.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Supervising a group of 10-12 campers (in conjunction with other counselors)
    • Plan outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers
    • Lead/engage group in daily activities including group games, arts and crafts, music fun and more
    • Coordinate with other staff on program implementation
    • Participate in all activities including support in vendor/specialist led programming
    • Keep campers safe at all times
    • Follow all camp guidelines, policies, safety plans and protocols completely
    • Set a good example for campers and staff in terms of cleanliness, punctuality, manners, appropriate language, appropriate attire, etc

    About our summer camp:

    This is a super fun, super engaging outdoor weekly camp for ages Campers are divided into age-specific groups and enjoy a wide range of daily activities from sports and movement like soccer, volleyball, paddle tennis, flag football, fitness fun, yoga and more to interactive arts/creative crafts and STEM programming, PLUS amazing outdoor adventures, water time, group games, music/theatre and so much more
    • Job Types: Temporary, Full-time
    • Salary: $600.00 per week
    • Schedule: 8 hour shift; Monday to Friday

    Requirements

    Required Experience:

    • Group Childcare: 1 year
    • High School Diploma
    • Must be available from June 24th - August 30th
    • Must Attend Pre-Camp Training Dates

    Preferred Experience:

    • Calm, cool and collected a smile
    • Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with children
    • Working knowledge of age-appropriate games or be ready to learn and lead
    • Must be comfortable working mainly outdoors and moving about camp property on a daily basis
    • Must be engaging, flexible and have the ability to pivot if need on a moments notice
    • Able to commit to full summer - June 26th - August 25th (No camp July 4th) 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    • Attend mandatory training sessions week of June 19
    • First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to be at onset of summer
    • Must love working with kids
