    Description
    The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and service. Also recommends changes in systems, programs, and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs. The Field Service Technician performs the following duties in the field with minimal supervision and coaching.

    RequirementsEssential FunctionsPerforms periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by DispatchResponsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies.

    Performs diagnostic analysisProvide sound technical assistance to all customers and distributorsProvide on-site technical training for customer personnel pertaining to use, operation, and maintenanceMay assist in the installation of new car wash equipmentPerforms repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessaryModifies or updates equipment when requiredMaintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional mannerMaintains all company owned and leased equipment in proper conditionOperate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulationsMay work with processes that are unique or peculiar to customer needsInvolved in the problem solving process regarding customer complaintsInterfaces with customers and related company personnel to ensure effective communication and dissemination of information required in establishing superior customer serviceKeep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performanceAccurately perceives information from others.

    Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.

    Education and Experience3-5 years field experienceRequires technical knowledge and ability to develop improved methods for fulfilling responsibilitiesCommunication SkillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a mustAbility to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructionsTechnical CompetenciesProficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)Ability to read and understand electrical diagramsUnderstanding of OLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase powerBehaviors/Work Environment/Physical RequirementsAll Mark VII Equipment employees and stakeholders must have uncompromising integrity and ethical standards.

    Extreme attention to detail and accuracy. Must be flexible to work days, nights or weekends if necessary. This position has a varying work schedule and is required to participate in an on-call shift rotation. Some travel may be required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet be flexible and have ability to work in a team environment.


    Safety:
    Must adhere to all safety rules, policies and regulations in relationship to OSHA and Mark VII Equipment standards. Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check and have a clean driving record
