Job Description:
Our client is a design firm that specializes in educational and commercial construction projects. They are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer / Designer in Columbus, Ohio.


Experience and Skills:
Must have 3-5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer / Designer
Must have experience peforming electrical design and power distribution for buildings
Design electrical systems for buildings, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, security, and communication systems, adhering to relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documents using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
Review and evaluate contractor submittals, shop drawings, and requests for information (RFIs) during construction phases to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical design and incorporate them into project solutions where applicable
Support project managers in budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination activities related to electrical design
Participate in meetings, presentations, and client discussions to communicate project progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback
Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
BS in Electrical Engineering or similar preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required


Benefits:
Base salary of $80,000 - $125,000, depending on experience
