    We are an established and thriving cardiology practice that has been taking care of hearts in the Brazos Valley for over 35 years. Our practice is a fast-paced, multi-physician, cardiology practice. We are seeking superstar medical assistants to join our team

    Candidates must have excellent patient relations, possess the ability to take directives from various levels of staff, assume responsibility for assignments, and perform the essential duties of the position.

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Room patients in a timely manner.
    • Obtain vital signs and patient medical history and record in EMR
    • Perform EKGs.
    • Accurately record patient's medications.
    • Obtain medical records from outside healthcare facilities for patient's appointment.
    • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
    • Work directly with nurses and providers.
    • Maintain patient information using EMR software.
    • Deliver compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients and families.
    • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPPA and OSHA.
    • All other duties assigned
    The ideal candidate will possess the following:
    • Hold a current CMA certificate with experience in a hospital or clinical setting OR is currently working as an MA in a hospital or clinical setting for 8-12 consecutive months.
    • Proficient in eClinicalWorks and Meditech is a plus.
    • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced setting supporting multiple providers, nurses and team members.
    • A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology protocols for a medical assistant scope of practice.
    • A basic knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 codes.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
    Additional Lead position qualifications include (but not limited to) all the above including leadership experience, previous experience working in a cardiology practice, eClinicalWorks at least for 1 year (or proven proficiency with EMR software), CMA certification or equivalent years of experience or on-the-job training.

    This is a full-time hourly position with great benefits

    Our hours are 40 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8am to 5pm, Fri 8am-noon. There will be occasional OT, but rarely. No nights or weekends or on-call. Lunch is provided most days.

    Salary: Starting from $15.00 per hour – depends on experience and position placement.

    Experience:
    • medical assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
