- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Current licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.

Join us at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where we have been providing world-class care to our community for over 100 years. The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) at Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a 10-bed critical care unit that serves both medical and surgical neurovascular patients. As the hospital's acute stroke unit, we care for patients receiving intra-arterial thrombolytics, intravenous thrombolytics and those participating in drug study for stroke research. We also care for various neurology and neurosurgery patients.
As a Registered Nurse in our NSICU Unit, you will become familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Our patient population is predominately adult and geriatric, although adolescent patients are considered on a case-by-case basis. Common patient diagnoses, include: acute stroke, seizure disorder, brain and spine tumors, cerebral-spinal disorders, dementia, encephalopathies and neuro-trauma.
