Plans directs and coordinates nursing practice and clinical services for Baylor Scott White Health BSWH Provides clinical leadership across all patient care settings inpatient and outpatient within assigned area of responsibility which may include one or more hospitals clinics or other BSWH healthcare facilities.
- Develops implements clinical protocols nursing policies procedures new patient care models and nursing quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintains monitors clinical operational efficiency standards of care and patient service delivery levels Ensures high quality patient care delivery in a cost effective manner Negotiates interdepartmental resources communicates with other BSWH departments to ensure effective efficient delivery of patient care Collaborates with operations leadership CEO physician leadership CMO senior leadership for assigned area of responsibility to deliver patient care with focus on ensuring high quality patient outcomes improving patient experience achieving service excellence in healthcare Establishes communicates the clinical strategic goals objectives for assigned nursing units or clinical areas in accordance with the overall goals objectives Develops projects initiatives that meet annual objectives Plans directs operations department area responsible for staffing processes budgets costs unit Leads advises subordinate(s) to meet schedules resolve technical problems monitor performance Has larger complex organization functional area than manager Often has managers supervisors reporting role Recommends policies organizational changes for area Oversees operations including social services ambulatory emergency medicine cardiology respiratory rehabilitation pharmacy pharmacy emergency medicine other nursing support functions Conducts participates periodic rounding identify needs communicate findings including room environment rounds safety rounds Maintains complies legal regulatory licensing accrediting requirements Assignee ensures compliance maintains monitoring metrics dashboards tools monitor service delivery identify areas education Facilitates communication collaborates between departments disciplines large complex organization delivers high-quality safe patient
