    This is a Leadership Opportunity and the ideal candidate will be located in the Western Pennsylvania Area

    Job Summary:

    This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing projects and initiatives within a subset of a field discipline that aligns with claims strategic direction and supports strategic goals. The TCL manages a subset of the operations of a team within a market claim office (MCO), typically with an excess of 125 employees, including leading, training, inspiring, engaging and motivating leaders and employees in one or more business segments with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and customer centricity.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Analyzes results and contributes to the development of strategies and action plans to support the achievement of operational goals related to customer service, loss cost management, and expense controls
    • Responsible for complex claim decisions, identification of hiring, training, and succession planning opportunities, and the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and process improvements to achieve corporate financial outcomes
    • Accountable for human resources duties, including resource management, hiring, performance management, talent development and compensation planning
    • Manages and resolves escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
    • Develops and directs business unit action plans
    • Fosters a collaborative environment that inspires and motivates many employees
    • Ensures understanding of business objectives, results, processes, etc. with their direct reports

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 7 or more years of related experience
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • None
    Functional Skills
    • Ability to interact effectively with internal or external customers and act with empathy
    • Beginning to apply knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation
    • Beginning to apply knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards
    • Beginning to apply industry knowledge
    • Beginning to apply knowledge of standardized problem solving
    • Beginning to apply ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives
    • Beginning to apply negotiation and/or arbitration skills

    National General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary. The base range offered for the role is: $96,000 - $113,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
