    Job Description

    McLaughlin Research Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Management Specialist to support the Electromagnetic Systems Department (Code 34) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island. The qualified candidate will be part of a team that enables the conceptualization, modernization, and maintenance of systems that ensure our Navys undersea superiority.

    Position responsibilities:

    Manage the configuration of hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software for EM Systems Programs.
    Track and document the status of engineering change documentation.
    Maintain configuration status accounting using Government-provided Configuration Management Systems.
    Perform physical and functional configuration audits to ensure product designs are accurately documented and baselines are verified.
    Recommend policies, and define and implement procedures for releasing new products throughout the products' entire life cycle.

    Job Requirements

    A Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college or university with ten (10) years configuration management working experience.

    Experience providing services in a team environment or working with the public.

    Excellent oral and written communications, analytical, and organizational skills

    A U.S. citizen and have eligibility for a security clearance

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience working with the Department of the Navy is a plus
    Experience with NSWC Crane's Integrated Product Data Management System is a plus.
    Active SECRET security clearance is a plus
