    • Seeking a BE/BC Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician for full time position. 
    • Work as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team to provide Palliative Medicine consultation in the hospital and clinic settings.
    • Provide inpatient and outpatient Palliative Medicine consultation services.
    • Consult with the attending physician and the Interdisciplinary Team to contribute to the patients plan of care.
    • Facilitate clarification of patient and family goals of care.
    • Provide expert physical and non-physical symptom assessment and management.
    • Facilitate access to appropriate supportive care services.
    • Participate weekly in interdisciplinary team meetings to review active cases.
    • Appropriately document patient care services to support professional billing for these services.
    • Serve as collaborating physician for Palliative and Supportive Care Service nurse practitioners.
    • Collaborate with Hospice Medical Director to help provide mutual medical coverage in case of eithers absence.
    • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives through the Center of Palliative Medicine.
    • Assist in the development of standards of care through the Center of Palliative Medicine.
    • Provide Palliative Care education for staff, colleagues, students, and community.
    • Perform other duties as requested.
    • Adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the organization.
    • At this time, no after-hours Palliative Medicine on-call coverage is expected, though with service growth this could be a development in the future.
