Our client is a growing tax accounting firm looking for an experienced
Tax Accountant Lead to join their team in Columbia City, Indiana.

Ideally this person should be within a 3-4 hour driving distance and able to be at office for occasional meetings.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of more complex returns
Overview, review, scheduling work of staff preparers
Provide review notes, assitance and corrections to staff (by phone or chat)
Evaluate training needs for staff
Communicating missing information to client manager
Recommend process improvement
Manage status updates of returns
Research technical tax issues and provide options to client managers
Research and respond to notices received
Lead specific compliance projects


Requirements:
5+ years in public accounting
Team leadership experience
Prior experience in reviewing tax returns
EA minimum, CPA Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
