Director of Partnerships and Sponsorships
Job Description:
It is the primary responsibility of the Director of Partnerships and Sponsorships to oversee all beverage partnership activations and related sponsorship opportunities.
The primary focus is to generate sponsorship funding through the partnership of key suppliers to enhance guest experiences and drive incremental dollars to both SAHARA and GSR.
Job FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
Manages assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision as it relates to external partnerships with company suppliers and distributors that is aligned with our budget and growth plan
Drives the coordination and setting of appointments with each supplier and distributor
Sources information from available resources to determine market trends and comps for other programs. The goal for this information is to provide decision makers with cutting edge information to stay relevant in the marketplace and to remain profitable
Helps build and evolve the current framework for the decision process and acceptance of brand's/product's inclusion into the partnership program at SAHARA/GSR
Works with the operators to assess each team's needs and find support for fulfillment
Vets program deliverables and advises the SAHARA/GSR team's to empower the decision makers to make best business intelligent decisions for the company
Coordinates the execution of activations and deliverables with each department within the property
Works closely with partnerships and sponsorships teams to secure third party marketing/agency partnerships to support on premise activations
Maintains and develops relationships with our Beverage and non-beverage programs
Provides support both internally and to our business partners leading up to events and ensuring that all activations run smoothly at both SAHARA/GSR
Manages the partnership budget and allocation of funds to our internal departments as well as communicating when the funds will be received by accounting
Constantly evaluates and improves activations
Works collaboratively across internal departments at SAHARA/GSR for partner approvals and alignment of programs and initiatives
Maintains strong industry knowledge of best practices and builds relationships with local brewers and distilleries
Implements process to streamline tracking assets and inventory and enhancing partner relationships
Analyzes research findings and identifies activation concepts that align with the brand, support partners' marketing objectives and drive business results
Through strategic planning and assessment, develops complete activation platforms, leveraging contractual assets and delivering a client-focused solution
Manages sponsorship budgets and track expenses
Ensure a full understanding of client activation objectives and strategic priorities
Acts as the primary liaison between key beverage partners and SAHARA/GSR to facilitate execution of sponsorship agreement
Oversees and manages the execution of beverage partner's contractual deliverables, while providing exceptional client service, relationship building, and weekly/monthly program progress reports
Establishes accountability processes for all Beverage outlets; ensuring compliance with the company's status quo third party representation philosophy, company policies, and legal requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years working in partnership/sponsorship activity
Willing to travel between SAHARA and GSR
Proven ability to maintain positive and dynamic relationships is a must
A High School Diploma and or degree is required
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times
Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to working independently with little to no supervision
Must be able to perform in a team environment
Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
Previous experience in a high-end luxury Gaming or Hospitality environment is desired
Must have exceptional time management skills
An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
Must be 21 years of age or older
