- Formulate, enhance, or refine company EH&S policies and programs considering applicable laws, Seemann Composites policy, and site-specific concerns.
- Examine work environments for various physical, chemical, biological and environmental hazards and stresses and make recommendations for improvements to process and equipment.
- Perform environmental surveys such as air sampling / monitoring, noise surveys, reviews of SDSs, indoor air quality surveys and ventilation testing.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance in the design of protective equipment for uses on processes and machinery to eliminate and reduce safety and health hazards as needed.
- Consult and advise company personnel concerning safety or environmental risks that require escalated management attention and action.
- Interpret OSHA standards and regulations and maintain cooperative relationship with OSHA.
- Conduct health and safety training courses for supervisors and employees as needed.
- Assist in the investigation of safety and health complaints and incidents.
- Ensure site audits and inspections are conducted in conformance with safety and environmental compliance requirements.
- Develop corrective actions for stresses that impair employee health and efficiency.
- Five or more years of Environmental Health & Safety experience required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interface with functional team members, executive management and customer representatives.
- Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and Federal / State regulations.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.
- This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is required.
- First aid certification of ability to obtain within six (6) months

- 4/10 schedule Monday – Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm hours of operation. (30 min lunch).
