Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic,Engineer – ACP Controls Software
to be responsible software applications engineer for FANUC America general industrial paint robot system applications. Includes software development, implementation, testing and on site/in plant debug and runoff.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Responsible for controls system software (PLC/HMI/GUI) design and implementation.
Work as part of an execution team and assume responsibility of system control function from start to finish of the project.
Work with other controls engineers and /or supervise engineers working on projects.Support sales and quoting efforts as required.
Write controls specifications defining the functional scope of controls and the I/O requirements.
Review and assist the system design process.
Program and debug PLC programs.
Write standard operating procedures.
Support integration of systems on manufacturing floor.
Support field installation, startup, and debug of systems.
Hold customer training sessions as needed.
Provide support for current and legacy systems.
Assist in quoting and specifying future projects.
Develop controls solutions for third party equipment for use in system solutions.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum one year of PLC and/or PC software programming experience preferred.
Experience with systems engineering, design, assembly, preferably related to robotic automation systems.
Wiring/troubleshooting experience.
Strong programming skills in Visual Basic .Net, C#.Net, Karel or equivalent programming environments.
High technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and pneumatic devices.
Familiarity with PLC programming, networking protocols, and electrical/pneumatic drawings.
Ability to understand software specifications, project status, and technical information.
Ability to develop, implement and test software for the following: PLC, GUI, HMI, and Robot Controller
