    MetroHealth Medical Director - ProMedica in CLEVELAND , Ohio Job Summary:

    Collaborates with the Eastern Division Medical Director and System Medical Director (Medical Direction Team), providing mutual support to the other physicians, jointly presenting a unified and positive message of the program direction and goals, and presenting a unified and positive message of both divisions.

    Assists the Education Committee in preparations for quarterly activities and shares responsibilities for covering Education Days, including lectures and simulation facilitation with the rest of the Medical Direction Team (4-8 hours total, will depend on finalized scheduling of Education Days).a.

    Consistent weekly availability to attend standing Meetings with Medical Direction and MetroHealth Executive Director of Pre-Hospital and BD/or other administrative meetings.

    (Approx. 2 hours month) Monthly preparation, participation, and attendance in joint MLF/PTN committee meeting(s) as directed (Approx. 2-4 hours).b. Complete Medical Director Chart Review as Needed. (Approx. 5-10 a month - 2-4 hours total) intermittent time commitments that will be fulfilled by the Medical Direction Team working together to allocate tasks.
    Assist in protocol creation and review.
    Assist in policy creation and review when related to clinical topics.

    Averages one 12-hour flight shift a month across each quarter with shifts spent at all Western Division bases and with as many different crewmembers as possible.


    Completes Medical Direction Call as Assigned:
    a. Average approx. 1 in 6 weeks on callb. Maintains 24/7 availability by phone to provide medical direction to Promedica Air and MH EMS agencies.


    Required Qualifications:
    MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
    Current physician licensure in the state of Ohio.

    Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.

    Maintain an active MetroHealth Medical Staff status/Membership with clinical privileges and Metro Life Flight privileges.3 years of clinical practice experience after residency (fellowship time can be included).
