    **President and Chief Health Plan Officer Role Summary**

    The President and Chief Health Plan Officer leads the provider-sponsored health plan, Priority Health, to effectively achieve the mission, vision, and provide value to health plan members. This role is responsible for developing the strategic direction for the plan and implementing a comprehensive and diversified portfolio of health and wellness solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cultivate a Culture of Excellence

      Foster a culture that attracts, motivates, and retains excellent executives and team members. Provide direction and clear expectations to facilitate plan effectiveness and assure accountability.

    • Strategic Planning and Direction

      Work with the Priority Health Board of Directors to realize the mission, vision, and strategic plan for Priority Health. Develop and implement annual and long-term plans, strategies, and budgets aimed at continuing the Priority Health history of value and quality.

    • Market Positioning and Communications

      Ensure Priority Health achieves and maintains a competitive position within the health insurance market. Drive communications and marketing necessary to reach and retain members.

    • Innovative Care Models

      Collaborate with leaders in care delivery, the chief operating officer, and the chief clinical officer to optimize the advantages of the integrated health system and leverage synergies across the system for implementing value-based models that improve health for all.

    • Community and Business Partnerships

      Foster and engage in positive relationships with executives, physicians, system shared services teams, government officials, board members, community, and business leaders.

    • Leadership and Accountability

      Select, develop, and evaluate direct reports to ensure plan retains the talent to innovate and compete in the market. Manage collaboratively and build the team to provide clear expectations and facilitate organizational effectiveness and assure accountability.

    • Financial Management and Performance

      Establish key initiatives and metrics, regularly measuring performance and outcomes. Set goals and direction, anticipating and avoiding obstructions and pitfalls.

    • Risk Mitigation and Safety Initiatives

      Actively participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

    • 15 years of relevant leadership experience.

    • Outstanding communication skills for highly visible and significant relationships in and outside the organization.

    • Experience serving on and working with Board of Directors.

    • Exceptional analytical skills.

    • Strategic planning abilities.

    • Financial management skills.

    • Customer/community relations skills.

    • Ability to take calculated risks.

    • Ability to stimulate new ideas within the organization.
