- Promote and maintain safe work environment

- Run SEM/Optical microscopes for various projects, including product development, process improvement, and claims analysis
- Coordinate ISO and IATF activities as required for the lab
- B.S. degree or equivalent in metallurgy, materials science, or related engineering field
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- M.S. degree in metallurgy, materials science, or related engineering field
- Experience in supervision or management

- Experience in steel industry

Overview:
Brief Description: The Lab Metallurgist is responsible for ensuring the safe, quality, and reliable operation of the metallurgical lab. The lab contains equipment to perform mechanical testing (tensile testing and hardness), along with equipment to perform metallurgical analysis (sample prep, optical microscope, and SEM). This position would oversee procedures and scheduling of equipment and testing, supervise lab technicians, and communicate with department metallurgists and process operations.
