    The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator in operationalizing clinical protocols relevant to Bio-specimen procurement initiatives.

    Birmingham, AlabamaHours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Days: Monday - FridayFulltime/Benefit Eligible

    Essential Key Responsibilities:

    Responsible for, recruiting, consenting, detailing and tracking eligible study subjects for clinical trialsIntroduces the details, and parameters of the study to study candidates and appropriate medical staffField candidates' questions and concerns about the studyObtains signed informed consent from all study participantsFunctions as the liaison between study candidates and the principal investigatorTracks the number of study candidates that were recruited vs.

    the number of successful specimen collectionsCoordinates pre-operative blood collection handling and storage when requiredCollects data, completes Case Report Forms and any required Follow-up FormsOrganizes the maintenance and retention of all study recordsTransfers study data confidentially from the study site to Aurora and its clientsManages inventory for all study suppliesParticipates in the collection process and transport preparation of Biospecimens from the Study site to the final destinationEducation:Nursing or Med-tech degree and certification desired.


    BA/BS science related degree preferredExperience:
    Experience working with clinical research protocolsExperience obtaining informed consents is preferredKnowledge of hospital departmental policies and operations is preferredRequirements:A valid state driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

    Must have personal and reliable transportationProof of current vehicle registration and personal automobile insuranceExcellent verbal and written communications skillsExperience with patient interactionKnowledge of basic medical terminologyAbility to understand and abide by Food & Drug Administration:
    Good Clinical Practice GuidelinesKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Skilled in interacting effectively with hospital staff, patients and other personnelComfortable in a pathology environmentCompany: Sonic Anatomic Pathology
