Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist/Data Engineer with demonstrated experience in the effective utilization of Agile practices, AI, and ML technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams and knowledge of supply chain risk optimization. The work will be located in the National Capital Region (NCR).

A week in the life of a Data Scientist/Data Engineer
+ Provides technical/management leadership to specify, shape, implement and maintain data management solutions for logistics information systems, ensuring the effective utilization of Agile practices, AI, and ML technologies.
+ Leads team of data professionals, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and drives the collection, storage, analysis, and utilization of data to enable informed business decisions and innovation.
+ Develops, implements, and coordinates data management practices to ensure data quality, accuracy, and security.
+ Collaborates with stakeholders to understand data needs, ensures data availability, and solves complex technical problems related to the use of storage hardware/software.
+ Prepares and implements AI and ML solutions to extract insights, patterns, and predictive models from large datasets.
+ Drives the design and maintenance of data infrastructure, plans and executes data storage movement; prepares and implements data validation and verification testing.
+ Develops and implements business rules, data definitions, and maintains data lexicons, dictionaries, data quality metrics, and governance.
+ Oversees data integration, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data consistency across systems. Deep experience with supply chain risk optimization, entity resolution/identity matching, cross-domain solutioning, graph analysis, cyber security, DevSecOps, are highly desired.
+ Implements data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
Job Requirements
+ Bachelors of Science degree with minimum of ten years of relevant experience;
+ Must possess and maintain a DoD TOP SECRET Clearance and be able to obtain a Common Access Card.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
