As part of the broader TikTok Privacy & Security group, the Privacy Response team has a pivotal mission:
to bolster TikTok's capabilities in managing and responding to privacy incidents and inquiries.

Serving as the final line of defense, our role in privacy incident response marks the last bastion of our data protection efforts.

Additionally, we are instrumental in building direct trust with the public and regulatory bodies by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of external inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Build infrastructures to empower TikTok's capabilities in responding to and recovering from privacy incidents and inquiries.
• Collaborate closely with PM in the design of user-friendly and efficient platform functionalities targeted for privacy response.
• Drive privacy and data protection efforts and work cross-functionally with Infra, Product and Policy teams.
• Explore cutting-edge privacy technologies to ensure data usage complies with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above, 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of computer principles, familiarity with general server architecture, competent in the use of various data structures and algorithms, and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Excellent understanding of business scenarios and requirements, with experience in designing rational technical solutions.
• Solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry experience in developing and implementing privacy features and solutions.
• Experience working on AI-related tech stacks e.g., model training, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering etc.
• Experience working on incident detection or knowledge graph building.
