    Job DescriptionSalary:

    Position Title: Quality Specialist Reports To: Quality Engineering Manager

    Department: Manufacturing Direct Reports (if applicable): N/A

    2nd Shift - 2:55pm - 11:10pm

    Summary

    The Quality Specialist executes actions according plans, to monitor and ensure quality of products. Identifies and reports potential issues to Management. The Quality Specialist must be familiar with a variety of areas, concepts, practices, and procedures related to the plastic injection molding process. They must use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
    • Perform process audits utilizing control plans and work instruction
    • Analyze quality control results and provide feedback and interpretation to management or staff
    • Provide feedback to staff in quality control and analytical procedures
    • Perform product audits utilizing drawing requirements and calibrated gages
    • Analyze defective product and defect trends
    • Supports Quality, Environmental, and Safety objectives
    • Reliable attendance
    • Other duties as assigned in Management's sole discretion

    Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
    • Must be able to communicate to others, as well as be able to receive communication from others
    • Ability to multi-task and operate multiple lines
    • Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures pertaining to the general operator
    • Must be willing to work any shift; 8 hours, weekends, and overtime\
    • Experience with metrology / measurement devices
    • Experience with the APQP process / PPAP

    Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

    • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling of parts
    • May be required to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be able to lift 45 pounds
