**About The Role:**

This position will support the Senior Buyer in the purchase of goods, materials, and services following established purchasing policies and procedures optimizing best price, quality, and delivery to support the business. This position will serve as a primary liaison for the daily communication with the sales reps and store associates.

**Your Responsibilities Will Include:**

Support the procurement team in the development of product category strategies by undertaking market analysis and research.

Create purchase orders, monitor delivery dates, including calls and emails to suppliers for status updates and expediting.

Accountable for specific product categories to support future development.

Collect, Request for Quote (RFQ) responses and complete costing.

Develop and maintain vendor database to streamline the procurement process.

Maintain a technical data reference files (SDS, TDS) for all procured products and materials.

Assist the team in data collection on vendor performance.

Resolve invoice discrepancies and authorize payment as appropriate.

Manage Return to Vendor (RTV) process ensuring accurate credit and debts.

Review and Process Transfers.

Proactively manage obsolete and/or aged inventory.

Report on procurement key performance indicators (KPIs).

System Maintenance including, Item, Vendor, Purchase Order, etc.

Logistics Obtain quotes and coordinate delivery.

**What We're Looking For:**

3 to 5 years purchasing experience in the construction industry, preferred.

Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising or related field.

Self-motivated with the ability to make appropriate decisions working within established guidelines.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
