Location Description:
The Sandman is an ideal launch pad for exploring Sonoma Wine Country. An affordable and inviting option among Santa Rosa, California hotels, Sandman is located just off US-101, mere minutes from the areas best wineries and breweries, dining, outdoor activities and downtown businesses. Channeling a tropical-meets-Californian-bohemian flare, the Pool House & Bar offers refreshing cocktails with an al fresco ambiance. Sandmans year-round heated pool and hot tub encourage lingering afternoons in the sunshine. Our spacious Backyard is complete with adirondack chairs, fire tables, a bocce court, and cornhole.

Overview:

The Pool Bartender serves beer and wine to guests at our poolside bar. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service, managing beverage inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve beer and wine to poolside guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Verify the legal drinking age of guests before serving alcohol.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including proper storage and display of beer and wine.
• Take orders from guests and promptly deliver their drinks.
• Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately, including handling tips.
• Restock beer and wine as needed, ensuring sufficient inventory during operating hours.
• Follow safety and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries or issues in a timely manner.

• Prior experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of beer and wine selections and service techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in a poolside environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old (or as required by local laws for serving alcohol).
• Must have or be willing to obtain any required certifications or permits for serving alcohol.
