Description
Ochsner/LSU Health Shreveport & LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport seek a Chair for the Department of Anesthesiology in Shreveport, Louisiana, a department recognized as one of the finest anesthesiology programs in the country.
The new chair will resume leadership to the department with the development and implementation of a dynamic vision for its future while working with the Dean and other Department Chairs in the ongoing evolution and success of the school.
The Chair will build on an excellent foundation of 24 full-time faculty and staff, working collaboratively with a broad range of constituents, both internally and externally.
The Chair, Department of Anesthesiology manages and oversees 32 Residents and 2 Fellows.
The selected candidate will also interact with the leadership of the Ochsner Health System which manages our primary teaching hospitals in Shreveport and Monroe in partnership with LSU.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have proven experience as a leader who can inspire faculty and staff to work together to develop future leaders in the specialty.
The candidate will have strong management skills with an ability to grow revenues, meet budgets and demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
Endorsing our commitment to excellence in clinical practice, education, and research, the department chair will oversee, coordinate, and encourage research within the department.
